Pisin is secreted from the bark of the old Sweet Almond Tree. It oozes out its
gum in a teardrop shape. Fresh Almond Gum is easily removable from trees using
hands. Once it dries up it becomes harder like stones. After collecting from the
tree it looks like small uneven pebbles. It is the combination of transparent
white/creamy white or pale yellow/light brown in colour.

HOW TO USE BADAM PISIN/ALMOND GUM?
Before using Badam Pisin, it needs to be soaked in water for at least 8 hours. Soaking them for 24 hours helps to soften badam pisin.
To soak - Just take 3-4 pieces of badam pisin (almond gum) and add 1½ cups of water. Leave them for 8-12 hours to swell up. You approximately get 2-2 ½ cups of swelled up badam pisin.
