Ajwain Paratha/Ajwain Roti is one of the flavourful Indian flatbreads/Paratha recipes. You can simply serve it with any vegetarian or non-vegetarian Indian curries. I like to eat with curd or sometimes as it is. If you serve ajwain paratha for breakfast, serve it with Dal, Paneer butter masala or even with Onion raita. If you serve ajwain paratha for lunch, serve it with chicken curry, fish curry or any non-vegetarian curry. Ajwain Paratha/Carom Seeds Paratha is a simple, healthy and flavourful Indian flatbread prepared with wheat flour as the main ingredient and flavoured with salt and ajwain/carom seeds/omam seeds. Ajwain Paratha also includes ghee as the flavouring ingredient and water is added to make a soft and smooth
dough.

Ajwain Paratha Recipe/Carom Seeds Paratha Recipe is a simple, healthy and flavourful Indian flatbread/Paratha recipe. You can easily make this Ajwain Paratha Recipe within 30-40 minutes and serve it as a breakfast, lunch or snack recipe.

Cuisine - North Indian
Serving - 10
Timing - 30 to 40 minutes

INGREDIENTS

Wheat Flour - 2 cups + 1/2 cup (for dusting)
Water - 1 cup or as needed
Salt - to taste
Ajwain Seeds/Carom Seeds - 1 tablespoon
Ghee - 1 tablespoon
Ghee or Oil - as needed

INSTRUCTIONS

1. To begin making the Ajwain Paratha Recipe/Carom Seeds Paratha Recipe - In a wide bowl add 2 cups of wheat flour, salt to taste, 1 tablespoon ghee and ajwain seeds mix well.

2. To Make Dough - Now gradually add water to make a soft and smooth dough. Cover with a muslin cloth and rest the dough for 15 minutes.

3. To Make Paratha Spread - Take the dough and need for 2-3 minutes and divide them into 10 equal size portions.

4. To Spread - Take one portion of dough and dust it in dry flour and place it on the rolling board and spread it into a round circle using a rolling pin.

5. To Fold - Now apply 1teaspoon ghee or oil evenly on the spread and sprinkle some dry flour. Now roll the spread zick-zack pattern from one side to another side (this should resemble a hand fan shape) then roll it into a pinwheel shape. Keep it aside and repeat doing this fold for the remaining portions.

6. Now spread the pinwheel dough into a round shape. Do this step for all the pinwheel dough.

7. To Cook - Heat a tawa over high heat, place the ajwain paratha on the tawa and cook for a minute and flip the other side and cook for a minute. Then flip again and apply a spoon of ghee or oil and cook for a few seconds flip again apply ghee or oil cook for a few seconds. Flip again and press the paratha using the ladle. Keep flipping both sides and cook until golden brown spots appear and paratha is cooked well.

(Don't forget to adjust the flame while cooking).

8. Repeat the above step for the remaining paratha.

9. Ajwain Paratha Recipe/Carom Seeds Paratha Recipe is ready.
