Indian Style Cauliflower Stir Fry Recipe | Gobi Sabji Recipe is a simple, nutritious and flavourful north Indian stir fry. You can quickly make this Cauliflower Stir Fry within 20 minutes and serve it as an accompaniment to rice and chapati or as a healthy snack.

INGREDIENTS

Cauliflower - 1 (medium size)
Onion - 1
Green Chilli - 2
Oil - 3 tablespoons
Water - 1/2 cup
Lemon Juice - 1 tablespoon
Coriander Leaves - 2 tablespoons

SPICES

Cumin Seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
Asafoetida - 1 big pinch
Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Coriander Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Cumin Powder - 1 teaspoon
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Salt - to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

1. To begin making the Indian-style Cauliflower Stir Fry Recipe/Gobi Sabji Recipe - Chop the cauliflower into small florets and wash them in 3-4 exchanges of water.

2. Keep it aside.

3. Slice the onions and chop the green chillies finely.

4. Keep all other ingredients ready.

5. To Cook - Heat oil in a heavy bottom kadai over a moderate flame, add asafoetida and cumin seeds and allow to sizzle.

6. Add chopped onions and fry until golden brown.

7. Now add green chilli and cauliflower and fry for a minute.

8. Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and turmeric powder.

9. Saute for a few seconds.

10. Now add salt and mix well.

11. Lower the flame and add water and lemon juice.

12. Mix well. Close the kadai with the lid.

13. Cook for 5-7 minutes over a low flame.

14. Stir occasionally.

15. Cook until water evaporates or until the cauliflower is just tender.

16. Turn Off the flame.

17. Check for the salt and adjust accordingly.

18. Finally garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
