How to make Kulukki Sarbath?

Kulukki Sarbath is a unique Kerala-style refreshing summer drink. You can easily make this Kulukki Sarbath at home in 15 minutes and serve it as a thirst-quenching drink, especially during the summer or Ramadan.

INGREDIENTS

Sabja Seeds/Basil Seeds - 1 teaspoon
Lemon - 1 medium-size
Green Chilli (slit) - 1
Mint - 4-5 leaves
Sugar - 2 tablespoons
Salt - 1/4 pinch
Cold Water - 250 ml

INSTRUCTIONS

1. To begin making the kulukki sarbath recipe - Keep all the ingredients ready.

2. Wash the lemon and slice one piece and squeeze the remaining lemon into the juice. Keep it aside.

3. To Soak Sabja Seeds - Before soaking the sabja seeds, look for any dust and debris and remove them.

4. Wash the cleaned sabja seeds in 2-3 exchanges of water.

5. Soak the sabja seeds in 1/4 cup of water for a minimum of 10 minutes. You can soak for a maximum of 2 hours for a soft texture.

6. Once the seeds swell up and doubled in size. They are ready to use.

7. To make Kulukki Sarbath - In a serving glass, add soaked sabja seeds, lemon slices, slit green chilli, mint leaves, sugar, lemon juice, salt and cold water.

8. Close with another tumbler and shake for 1 minute. You can use the shaker to shake the Kulukki sarbath.

9. Kulukki Sarbath Recipe is ready.

You can serve this Kulukki Sarbath immediately.
